Listdom is a WordPress plugin for building directory, classifieds and listing sites. Its strength is layout: the free version ships with more than 80 skins for listing cards and archive pages (grid, list, masonry, carousel, half-map and more), so a new directory looks finished without custom CSS.

What the free version includes

The free plugin covers more than most free directory plugins:

• 80+ skins and views for listing cards and archives.
• Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap is free and needs no Google billing account. You can also use both, for example Google Maps on single listings and OpenStreetMap everywhere else.
• Frontend submissions. Users submit and manage their listings from a frontend dashboard, without seeing wp-admin.
• A search form builder and a shortcode generator, so listings and searches can go into any page builder: Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg and others.
• Custom fields, including fields that only apply to certain categories.
• CSV import and export, with automatic column mapping.
• AI tools that connect to OpenAI, Claude or Gemini for text generation and AI search.

What the paid plans add

Every paid plan includes the same set of 34+ add-ons, including:

• Pro features: drawing tools for map search (draw an area, see the listings inside it), advanced map search and Stripe payments.
• Monetization: claim listings, paid submissions and subscriptions.
• Demo toolkits: full site demos you can import and edit (business directory, real estate and others). These come with the Listdomer theme.

Listdom vs GeoDirectory

The two are often compared, and they're built for different things.

Listdom is the faster route to a directory that looks good. You pick a skin, place a shortcode, and you're done. The free version also gives you more out of the box: maps, frontend submissions and the layouts.

GeoDirectory stores listings in its own database tables, which keeps very large directories fast. It's the safer choice if you expect thousands of listings across many locations.

For a niche directory with a few hundred listings, Listdom is the easier start. If you expect it to get very large, look at GeoDirectory first.

Who it suits

Listdom suits anyone building a WordPress directory who wants it to look good without hiring a designer. Start with the free plugin. Buy a plan only when you need claims, paid listings or Stripe.
